Slit Rollstock
The Murnane Companies' founder, Joseph H. Murnane, worked closely with the National Confectioners Association in developing an anti-oxidant addition to base cards which extended the shelf life of candy. From this sequence, came the development of coating machines to apply non-stick coatings to cards used in wrapping "sticky" bars (such as caramel or fudge), white bottom cards with coatings for bakeries, and narrow slit rolls to enable base cards to be roll fed into wrapping machines with cut-off knives.
We continue to provide our customers with solutions for release and protection with our wax blends, extruded and laminated coatings. We also provide enhanced roll fed base cards and u-boards with roll to roll Flexographically printed rollstock up to six (6) colors.
